 FAQs

Would the class be the same as the team?

No.  Students could be on the team and not in the class.  They could be in the class and not on the team. The class will certainly help team members in their work for competition, but class members will not go to competitions unless they are accepted onto the team.

If I am on the team and in the class and go to a conference, will I get a class grade?

No.  The team competition remains separate from class credit.  However, you will get class credit for team preparation work, if you so choose.  For instance, when the class assigns a particular paper to be written, your position paper work may to replace that assignment, effectively allowing much of your team work to earn class credit.
